2022 – Where will we be going this summer?
Queen Elizabeth the Second is celebrating her Platinum Jubilee; the Queen is now 96-years-old and she has been on the throne for 70 years old! This makes her the longest serving monarch in the world. We are taking you to WINDSOR to visit Windsor Castle – her castle which dates back to 1070 and is her home near Ascot where she spends a lot of her time.
We have two LONDON trips. We will continue the royal theme so you can see the Queen’s London home, Buckingham Palace, and St Paul’s Cathedral where big royal weddings take place. Our tours will also include other famous sights. We will also visit the old market and shopping area, home of the great Opera House, Covent Garden, and a London museum.
We will also visit MILESTONES Museum of Living History. It is made up of a network of old streets with shops, vehicles and costumes and is a fascinating place to wander around.
Other highlights will be a trip to the lovely city of CHICHESTER and to see a Medieval Jousting Tournament in the grounds of beautiful ARUNDEL CASTLE nearby. Students will also be able to visit some of the ancient rooms.
Enjoy a trip on the River Thames through what is called in England “an area of outstanding natural beauty”. We sail from MARLOW, a new destination this year; it is a picturesque Georgian riverside town which hosts a famous Regatta each year.
There are also trips to the CINEMA, BOWLING and CORAL REEF, WATERWORLD.
For older girls there will be shopping opportunities at the Lexicon, Bracknell, a new indoor and outdoor leisure area full of cafes and shops, while the juniors go exploring science at THE LOOK OUT CENTRE in the royal forest. The oldest seniors, aged 16 plus, will also have the chance to go ASCOT RACES.
English with Style girls will have their own special trips. They will go to the theatre in LONDON to see The Mouse Trap by Agatha Christie. It is the world’s longest-running play and has been on the stage for 70 years! There will also be a visit to one of the top art galleries and a shopping opportunity.
